SOCIALLY ENGAGED ART

I work with cooperation, conversation and knowledge production from a norm-critical and intersectional feminist perspective.

My practice is directed towards long-term goals of increased dialogue, empathy, and equality in society. The socially engaged projects I faciliate uses conversation as a common learning process in which the participants can create mutual understanding for each other and further a sense of belonging together. In these conversations the relationship between individual experiences, personal stories and the social power structures that affect them are used as a basis from which to collectively formulate new thoughts and ways of action for the future.

My conversation projects are context-based and developed in collaboration with the participants. I also work as an educator in norm criticism and with workshop-based art educations. All of my socially engaged work is especially directed towards teenagers and young adults.
